HVD!

Hi, guys!  Just a little outfit from a few weeks ago.  I thought with the pink skirt it was mostly Valentine's day appropriate.

We've had some more snow days this week.  Crazy for sure!  But today it's in the 50s!  Ahh, the joys of the weather in the south...But at least we got some days off out of it and the weekends have been nice enough to enjoy some outside time!

Got any cool Valentine's day plans?  We don't usual do the whole celebrating thing.  We just usually have a normal chill weekend like we always do.  And I really like that!  Too bad my sweetheart has been working all weekend.  But it's okay.  I've been enjoying some movie & tv time.  And I did get to make him a special breakfast this morning before he left.  So hopefully he enjoyed that!  :o)

Snow Day! (x2)

Hi, everybody!  So the past two days have been a snow day for me!  So exciting.  I'm convinced it's for my birthday week.  So since I've been out, I've been trying a few attempts at outfit photogs.  First off, here's my front yard!  See snow!!  EE!!  (It makes me happy like a little kid.)

And here's the spot that I decided to take some pictures.  This is after yesterday's attempt at some indoor shots.  (Those are at the bottom of this post).

And now, here's my outfit.  Nothing too fancy.  Just your regular run of the mill snow day outfit, but I thought it was a good outfit to take some photos in.

Here's the details a bit.  My mom gave me this necklace for Christmas!  So cute!  And you can see my new glasses and hair color!

And my favorite boots.  These were my birthday present 2 years ago.  Best. present. ever.

Pretty in Pink

I have two projects going on for Christmas.  One I can't show you yet because it's a very special gift.  I'll show you after I give it just in case the person reads this blog.  The other is this new ring I made yesterday!

It feels so 80s to me.  I guess it's the hot pink and the black.  It's so Madonna or Cyndi Lauper.

The pliers are because I had to pull the button hole off the back of the pink cloth button.  And yes, that's a Swell catalogue.  Does anyone else get Swell?  I love it!  It's a great blend of surf fashion and city fashion.  It was just on the table when I was taking pictures and I was to lazy to move it...

This ring is a gift for my brother-in-law's girlfriend.  She is very cute and I think she'll rock this ring well!  I think it's her style.

One last note.  I got my hair cut and colored yesterday!  It's much darker and looks amazing!  Hopefully I can get myself together and take a few outfit posts so you can see it.  I really do wear cool stuff that I want to show you guys!  I just need a photographer or a tripod or something.  Maybe I just need to not be lazy and figure it out myself!

New & Old

So I got new glasses!!  They're from warbyparker.com which is just a fabulous company!  They let you try on frames at home, for free!  You can try on 5 at a time.  I ended up doing it twice.  And this is what I ended up with...

I think they are fabulous!  Don't you??  I also today revived an old favorite pair of shoes.  I'm excited that I did because it's going to change my current wardrobe so much!  Just a great update I think!

So now it's time for Christmas!  I can't believe that I just started my Christmas break today!  It's so crazy!  Wow, I just realized I have used a ton of exclamation points in this post.  Better chill a bit.  So to celebrate the beginning of break, I leave you with my favorite Christmas song of all time...Enjoy!

nothing too exciting going on...

bought this ring today!! love it!!

got it at a local coffee shop that was selling handmade jewelry from a local artist.  saw this while i was waiting for my drink to be made.  just had to get it!!  amazing...

also, i started a tumblr today.  more of a collection of things i like rather than this creative blog.  check it if you want!  and let me know whatcha think!

i promise i am going to get back to this thing.  it's easier to do when i'm on break and i've got a fantastic break coming up!  so be on the look out for some new posts!

One of the blogs I read other than fashion related blogs is Rules for My Unborn Son.  The most recent rule is #451...

I thought that was appropriate to start this post because, I got a hair cut!

I got this snazzy 'do on Tuesday!  And I love it!  I've been wanting bangs again for a while, but I was always really nervous.  I finally pulled the trigger!

Sorry I haven't been posting lately.  It's been craziness over here for a while.  I helped my brother move to the Windy City this weekend.  That was a whirlwind, but tons of fun!

That last one is my favorite because it's the Adventures in Babysitting building!

And then yesterday I went to work in my classroom to get it all situated.  And now tomorrow is my official first day back at work...boo.

But the good news is, when I have to be at work everyday, my outfits tend to be more creative.  Therefore, look for some new outfit posts coming up!  I won't really have to start dressing up until Thursday though.

Hope everyone is having a super week!  I'm still packing and cleaning as we move halfway this weekend and officially next weekend.  So I'm going to get back to it...
