Black & White & Red all over

Hello!  We are finally getting settled into our new place!  It feels like home now.  We love it so much.  I thought that the balcony was going to be a good spot to get photos, but it doesn't really get enough sun during the day.  Maybe it would be better earlier in the morning.  So that's why these are inside.  Which I kind of like because of the white walls.  Well I say white.  They are more of a natural color I guess.

So we are getting ourselves ready for our anniversary trip to Greece!  We leave on Wednesday!!  It totally snuck up on me.  I just can't believe it's so close!  It doesn't feel real.

But it's real!  We are really leaving for 3 weeks on Wednesday!!  So crazy.  It's going to be a great, relaxing trip.  That's why I'm particularly glad we are settled in our new place.  That way we will have a home to come home to that feels cozy.

Sail Away

Picked up this little number in Chicago over the weekend at H&M.  Thought it would be perfect for our upcoming Greece adventure.

Belt is from UO and the shoes are from Target.  We're getting settled into our new place.  That's where these pictures are taken.  I feel like I can get better shots out here.  So I tried playing with my camera a little.

Hannah's Necklace

So this is a lot late.  I meant to post this a LONG time ago.  This was a Christmas present I made.  See I told you it's a lot late.

When I was helping my brother move to Chicago last summer (crazy that he's almost been there a year!), his gf had this broken bowl on the front porch.  I asked a couple of times if I should throw it away.  She told me that she really wanted to try to fix it.  It was in a million pieces.  Apparently it was a bowl from her childhood and it had special meaning to her.  Finally, she decided that she would just keep a piece and throw the rest away.  I told her I would also keep a piece and see if I could do something with it.  So here's the piece I kept.

So I got some supplies.  Mostly the wire was the important part.  I wanted to put a hole in it, but I also didn't want to break the piece because it was the only one I had.

I did sand the edges because there was a few rough spots.  But mostly I just wrapped the wire around in an interesting way.

I thought it turned out pretty well!  It makes me want to try harder jewelry.  I think the rings I make are pretty easy.  I think it would be fun to make more interesting pieces.  Here's the necklace on me.

I had a longer chain at first, but I thought it look better on a shorter chain because it was such a large charm.  I really think she liked it!

Finally!

Hey, guys!  Did you miss me?  It's been entirely too long!  This semester has been crazy busy.  No excuse, I know, but still.  So I'm officially out of school as of yesterday!!  Now I can give this blog some attention! I've got lots of ideas for projects and outfits.  I think this will finally be the summer I start selling my rings!  My hair stylist just opened her own spot and offered to sell my rings in her shop!!  So now I have to get to making them hardcore.  Along with this venture, I also want to get my etsy shop up and running officially. I've got some big trips planned this summer.  Starting next weekend with an anniversary trip!  Hard to believe it's been 5 years!!

So there's a little mini update for you, just mostly to let you know I'm still alive and haven't forgotten about my blog!  Expect some major stuff coming soon!  So with out further adieu here's a lovely video to tell you how I feel right now!  Enjoy!

HVD!

Hi, guys!  Just a little outfit from a few weeks ago.  I thought with the pink skirt it was mostly Valentine's day appropriate.

We've had some more snow days this week.  Crazy for sure!  But today it's in the 50s!  Ahh, the joys of the weather in the south...But at least we got some days off out of it and the weekends have been nice enough to enjoy some outside time!

Got any cool Valentine's day plans?  We don't usual do the whole celebrating thing.  We just usually have a normal chill weekend like we always do.  And I really like that!  Too bad my sweetheart has been working all weekend.  But it's okay.  I've been enjoying some movie & tv time.  And I did get to make him a special breakfast this morning before he left.  So hopefully he enjoyed that!  :o)

Snow Day! (x2)

Hi, everybody!  So the past two days have been a snow day for me!  So exciting.  I'm convinced it's for my birthday week.  So since I've been out, I've been trying a few attempts at outfit photogs.  First off, here's my front yard!  See snow!!  EE!!  (It makes me happy like a little kid.)

And here's the spot that I decided to take some pictures.  This is after yesterday's attempt at some indoor shots.  (Those are at the bottom of this post).

And now, here's my outfit.  Nothing too fancy.  Just your regular run of the mill snow day outfit, but I thought it was a good outfit to take some photos in.

Here's the details a bit.  My mom gave me this necklace for Christmas!  So cute!  And you can see my new glasses and hair color!

And my favorite boots.  These were my birthday present 2 years ago.  Best. present. ever.
